About the roleThis is an exciting opportunity to lead a key priority area for Aboriginal children and families, a project about proportionate funding transfer to Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations for family and children services delivered to Aboriginal clients.
This role leads strategic projects that strengthen culturally grounded practices for Aboriginal children and families, with a focus on proportionate funding transfers to Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations. It also supports VACCA's sustainability through grant writing, program establishment, and development of operational manuals, working collaboratively across regions to design culturally responsive services.
About YouThis role leads strategic projects from planning through execution, including governance, budgeting, and reporting. It prepares key documents such as funding submissions, policy papers, and project plans, while building strong relationships across VACCA and with key external stakeholders such as other Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations and Department of Families, Fairness and Housing representatives. Drawing on research and policy insights, the role informs funding opportunities and supports the establishment of new programs. As a senior team member, it also contributes to continuous improvement, supervises staff when required, and collaborates across regions to ensure culturally responsive services for Aboriginal children, young people, and families.
