  • Serve as a primary point of contact for attorneys on assigned PR matters, exercising judgment on messaging, timing, and whether something is ready to move forward.
  • Oversee the firm’s media monitoring and reporting process, including tracking daily coverage, surfacing relevant legal and industry news for firm leadership, and contributing to quarterly media reporting and analysis.

Internal Communications & Firmwide Initiatives

  • Take ownership of firmwide communications projects from concept through execution, ensuring they are on message, on schedule, and well-coordinated across stakeholders.
  • Draft and distribute internal messaging on strategic priorities and organizational developments, maintaining a consistent voice that reflects the firm’s identity and values.
  • Partner with teams across practices and offices to bring structure, clarity, and editorial quality to communications initiatives at every stage of development.

Awards & Recognition

  • Lead the full lifecycle of the firm’s awards and rankings submissions for assigned practices, offices, and initiatives, from identifying the right opportunities to building the narrative to final delivery.
  • Work closely with attorneys to gather substantive information and translate it into compelling, well-organized submissions tailored to the requirements of each publication or ranking body.
  • Maintain the awards calendar and track all deadlines, statuses, and deliverables across a portfolio of concurrent submissions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field.
  • At least three years of experience in public relations or communications, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • A strong editorial eye and command of AP Style, with the ability to produce polished, accurate copy across a range of formats.
  • Proficiency with AI tools and technologies is expected. This role requires someone who already integrates AI into their communications workflow and is comfortable using it daily.
