The Senior Purchasing Officer is responsible for managing the entire procurement cycle, ensuring timely sourcing of quality materials, negotiating with vendors, and maintaining cost-effective purchasing strategies. This role requires strong market knowledge, vendor management skills, and the ability to coordinate with internal departments to ensure operational needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain purchasing strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, service, and reliability.
  • Negotiate contracts, payment terms, and long-term supply agreements.
  • Review purchase requests for accuracy and completeness.
  • Issue purchase orders (POs) and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Analyze market trends, pricing, and availability to ensure cost optimization.
  • Maintain and update procurement records, documentation, and reports.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (Finance, Warehouse, Projects, Operations) to meet material requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and procurement procedures.
  • Resolve issues related to delivery delays, shortages, or quality concerns.
  • Assist in annual budgeting and forecasting of procurement needs.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 4–6 years of progressive experience in purchasing or procurement (preferably in UAE).
  • Strong knowledge of sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle / SAP / Odoo / etc.) and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of market trends and cost analysis.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in Construction / Retail / Manufacturing / FMCG (you can tell me your industry to customize).
  • Knowledge of import/export documentation (if relevant).
  • Certifications like CIPS or Supply Chain Certification (optional).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
