Summertown Metals is looking for a motivated person to lead the Purchasing team. This person needs to have previous purchasing experience, as well as managerial experience. This is a full-time position which will include benefits such as medical, dental, vision, accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, STD, LTD, life, 401K, vacation and PTO.

Job duties include but are not limited to.

Purchasing Lead will help with purchases of inventory, record keeping, inventory control, and vendor relations.
Direct support to the purchasing manager.
Stay up to date with purchase orders and submit in timely manner.
Oversee that the air table is updated and maintained.
Develop vendor relations.
Notify sales and shipping of material issues and lead times.
Get pricing and information to sales team.
Help develop processes for new software.
Lead and train new employees.
Coordinate cypress buys, payments, & deliveries.
Assure employees are efficient and thorough with daily tasks.
Hold employees accountable to the KRA’s, update when needed.
Address personnel issues professionally.
Direct report for 3rd party delivery concerns and coordination.
