Senior Python Developer

About the Role:
We are building an AI-powered medical platform that helps clinicians analyze images and recommend appropriate laser treatment wavelengths. As a Python Developer (Image Processing), you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing our backend image analysis pipeline using OpenCV, advanced image processing methods, and machine learning integration. This is a high-impact role, you will directly contribute to features like color segmentation, color analysis, and longitudinal comparison of patient images that form the core intelligence of the system.

Responsibilities:
1. Develop robust image preprocessing pipelines (focus, exposure, glare, white balance checks).
2. Implement color segmentation using OpenCV + ML integration.
3. Build color estimation and transformation workflows.
4. Work on region detection & polygon simplification for tattoo areas.
5. Integrate with backend APIs (FastAPI, Flask or similar) for scalable deployment.
6. Create Machine Learning Models for faster results and accuracy.
7. Optimize image pipelines for speed (60–120s per job) and reliability.
8. Ensure outputs are deterministic, explainable, and version-controlled.
9. Follow HIPAA-compliant data handling and security practices.

Required Skills:
1. Strong Python development experience (3–5+ years).
2. Proven expertise in OpenCV and core image processing techniques:
o Thresholding, edge detection, contour analysis
o Superpixels / region growing
o Color models (RGB, HSV, CIELAB)
3. Hands-on with NumPy, SciPy, Pillow for image manipulation.
4. Experience in image segmentation models (ONNX Runtime, TensorFlow, PyTorch preferred).
5. Familiarity with color science and ΔE calculations.
6. Solid understanding of REST APIs and scalable backend integration.
