Senior QA Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer to join our team. This role requires a unique blend of software testing expertise and hardware integration knowledge, with a focus on API testing and automation. The ideal candidate will have experience in the FinTech sector or POS (Point of Sale) systems and understand the critical relationship between hardware and software components.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive API test suites using Postman and other automation tools
• Create and execute test plans that address both software functionality and hardware-software integration points
• Identify, document, and track bugs through the full resolution cycle
• Develop automation frameworks to ensure consistent test coverage across releases
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand hardware specifications and their impact on software testing strategies
• Perform regression testing to ensure new code changes don't affect existing functionality
• Validate system behavior across different hardware configurations and environments
• Develop and maintain test documentation including test cases, test plans, and test reports
• Participate in requirement analysis to ensure testability and quality standards
• Mentor junior QA team members in best practices and testing methodologies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 3 years focused on API testing
• Proficient with API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar technologies
• Experience with test automation frameworks and programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java)
• Strong understanding of the relationship between hardware and software components in integrated systems
• Experience with version control systems (Git), issue tracking tools (JIRA), and CI/CD pipelines
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in FinTech, banking systems, or POS (Point of Sale) solutions
• Knowledge of payment processing systems and related security protocols
• Familiarity with hardware testing methodologies and tools
• Experience with performance testing and security testing
• ISTQB certification or equivalent
• Experience with mobile application testing
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies
