Overall Purpose of the Job

To promote safe, responsible and compliant operations throughout the area of responsibility, ensuring that HSEQ methods and systems are implemented, used consistently and monitored regularly and appropriate support is provided to managers and employees in relevant HSEQ matters.

Key Activities And Accountabilities

• Focal point for all HSEQ matters in area of responsibility including the provision of advice on relevant legislation; liaises with government and other external bodies as required including the award and/or maintenance of external certification.
• Drive implementation of, and compliance with, Expro HSEQ methods and systems in the area of responsibility to ensure consistency of approach and understanding of goals; generate and execute strategic HSEQ plans in conjunction with Group HSEQ.
• Identify and agree local HSEQ methods and systems as necessary and ensures compatibility with Group requirements
• Support managers in the identification and delivery of HSEQ targets and goals to ensure continuous awareness and improvement of key HSEQ areas
• Ensure HSEQ policies, standards and directives are understood and followed and ensure appropriate training is provided to managers and employees as necessary
• Manage the HSEQ resources in area of responsibility to provide professional, competent and cost effective support to the business
• Ensure accidents and near misses are reported, investigated and effective corrective action taken and closed out; may take the lead during accident investigations
• Ensure non-conformance reports (PIRs) are raised, investigated and effective correction action taken and closed out; may take the lead during non-conformance investigations
• Monitor HSEQ performance and ensures compliance with reporting requirements including Etrak reports, KPIs, planned HSE inspections etc; ensure effective dissemination of relevant HSEQ information to relevant parties
• Conduct or arrange HSEQ audits in compliance with agreed audit schedule (HSE and Quality)
• HSEQ input to bids as required
• Facilitate HSE and Quality training as required
• Distribute Safety Alerts with the area of responsibility
• Arrange and contribute to safety and quality meetings within the area of responsibility
  
  

Job Knowledge And Qualifications

• 12+ years’ experience in an HSEQ environment including proven management experience
• Degree-qualified in a relevant subject
• NEBOSH, IOSH (or equivalent) certification
• IRCA Lead Assessor qualification (or standard industry accreditation)
• Experience of ISO standards/systems
