About the Role

FlairsTech is looking for a Senior QA Engineer with strong experience in manual and automation testing to join our growing engineering organization. You will work directly with one of our international SaaS clients within a fast-paced agile environment, contributing to the quality of complex, high-traffic, data-driven software products.

We are looking for someone who brings strong product understanding, takes full ownership of quality outcomes, and understands modern software development cycles from ideation to release.

Responsibilities

Quality Ownership & Product Understanding

Own the end-to-end quality of assigned features and modules.

Act as a quality advocate in the team, ensuring clarity of requirements, risk analysis, and readiness for release.

Work closely with product owners and engineers to deeply understand how the product works and how customers use it.

Contribute to acceptance criteria and testability discussions early in the development cycle.

Manual Testing

Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.

Perform functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, and integration testing.

Validate complex business logic, data flows, and multi-system interactions.

Identify, document, and track defects, providing clear, actionable insights.

Automation Testing

Develop and maintain test automation scripts (UI and/or API).

Build automation coverage for high-value and repetitive scenarios.

Troubleshoot and stabilize flaky tests to ensure reliability within CI/CD pipelines.

Contribute to evolving the automation framework and testing strategy.

Collaboration & Process

Participate in agile ceremonies: standups, grooming, planning, reviews, retrospectives.

Support continuous integration, continuous delivery, and shift-left testing practices.

Share knowledge and mentor junior QA team members when needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance for web-based or SaaS products.

Strong experience in manual functional testing and test-case design.

Practical experience in test automation using frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.

Solid understanding of API testing (Postman, REST Assured, etc.).

Good knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.

Strong analytical, debugging, and root-cause investigation skills.

Experience working within Git-based workflows and CI/CD environments.

Excellent communication skills and a proactive ownership mindset.

Nice to Have

Experience working with distributed, high-traffic, or real-time systems.

Familiarity with SQL for data validation.

Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, k6).

Experience with cloud-based applications or microservices architectures.

Scripting skills (Python, JavaScript, or similar).
