Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (Kozhikode)

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer to lead our quality assurance efforts. This is a critical, hands-on role for someone who is an expert in all aspects of QA, from manual testing and strategy to test automation.

You will be responsible for defining our overall testing strategy, executing comprehensive manual test plans, and expanding our automated test coverage. You will ensure that our mobile apps, web platform, and backend APIs are reliable, scalable, and meet the high-quality standards our users expect.

Key Responsibilities

● Lead Overall QA Strategy: Design, own, and implement the end-to-end testing strategy, balancing manual testing efforts with automation to ensure maximum efficiency and test coverage.

● Manual Test Planning & Execution:

○ Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.

○ Perform thorough manual testing, including exploratory, functional, usability, and regression testing, to identify, log, and triage defects.

● Test Automation:

○ Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts and frameworks for our mobile, web, and API platforms.

○ Identify and prioritize new features and regression scenarios to be automated.

● Process Improvement: Drive the continuous improvement of our QA processes and standards.

● CI/CD Integration: Work with the DevOps team to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline, providing fast feedback to developers.

● Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior QA team members, promoting best practices in both manual and automated testing.

● Collaboration: Work closely with product managers and developers to understand requirements, participate in design reviews, and ensure quality is built into the entire development lifecycle.

Required Skills & Qualifications

● 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance for mobile and web applications.

● Expertise in Manual Testing: Proven, deep experience in manual testing techniques, test plan design, test case creation, and exploratory testing.

● Strong Automation Knowledge: Solid, practical experience in test automation. Must be able to write and maintain scripts using common frameworks (e.g., Appium for mobile, Selenium/Cypress for web, RestAssured/Postman for API).

● Programming Skills: Proficiency in a programming language (like Java, Python, or JavaScript) to support automation.

● API Testing Experience: Strong experience in testing RESTful APIs and microservices.

● QA Methodology: A deep understanding of QA methodologies, the software development lifecycle, and Agile/Scrum processes.

● Tools: Experience with bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira) and test management tools.

Preferred Qualifications

● Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).

● Familiarity with SQL and database testing.

● Experience with performance and load testing (e.g., JMeter).

● Experience testing multi-sided marketplaces, logistics, or operations-heavy platforms.
