Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Sharjah (Hamriyah Free Zone). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in civil construction projects, strong cost management skills, and the ability to manage contracts, variations, and project financials effectively.

Roles & ResponsibilitiesCost & Quantity Management

• Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and prepare Bar Bending Schedules (BBS).
• Estimate project costs, prepare budgets, and conduct feasibility studies.
• Prepare tender packages, contracts, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.

Financial & Contract Control

• Monitor project expenditure and prepare financial reports and forecasts.
• Manage variations, change orders, and associated documentation.
• Prepare contracts in accordance with FIDIC standards.
• Handle claims, disputes, and ongoing contract administration.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Present cost reports, financial updates, and earned value reports to stakeholders.
• Maintain subcontractor databases and procurement documentation.

Project Coordination

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and contractors.
• Support subcontractor management including RFQ preparation, quotation review, and payment evaluation.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather project requirements.

Project Closing Activities

• Prepare final accounts and support project handover to ensure completion of all financial matters.

Software Skills

• Proficiency in PlanSwift, Candy, MS Project, and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering.
• 8–10 years of experience in civil construction or engineering projects.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with sound decision-making ability.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong understanding of cost control, contracts, variations, and project financials.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED11,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
