Senior Quantity Surveyor

JASARA PMC is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will manage the financial and contractual aspects of our construction projects, ensuring they are delivered efficiently and within budgetary constraints. You will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on costs and procurement strategies while collaborating closely with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate quantity surveying activities throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents to support project delivery.
• Conduct regular financial assessments and cost control measures to ensure compliance with budgets.
• Negotiate contracts and manage any variations or claims with contractors and suppliers.
• Work alongside project managers to ensure effective project planning and execution, providing financial insights as needed.
• Conduct site visits for monitoring progress and validating completed work against cost projections.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior staff to promote professional development within the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
• Professional certification (e.g., MRICS) is preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of construction contracts, cost management, and procurement practices.
• Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities for effective stakeholder engagement.
• Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools.
