Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage daily site construction operations to ensure work is executed on time, within quality standards, and in accordance with approved drawings and project specifications.
- Review IFC drawings, shop drawings, and material submittals to verify compliance, constructability, and accuracy prior to execution.
- Plan and distribute manpower, materials, and equipment effectively to meet daily and weekly production targets.
- Track site progress, identify risks or delays, and implement corrective measures to maintain the project schedule.
- Coordinate closely with planning, procurement, QS, and engineering teams to ensure timely material delivery, design clarifications, and proper resource allocation.
- Interface with clients, consultants, and subcontractors for inspections, approvals, and resolution of technical site issues.
- Ensure execution of works in line with approved method statements, risk assessments, and all HSE protocols.
- Perform frequent site inspections to assess workmanship, safety compliance, and adherence to quality standards.
- Prepare comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports highlighting achievements, challenges, and required actions.
- Manage subcontractors by monitoring their progress, validating quantities, and ensuring compliance with contract scope and quality requirements.
- Raise RFIs for technical clarifications and follow up with consultants or design teams for timely approval.
- Identify variations, discrepancies, or changes and report them for impact analysis on cost, quality, and schedule.
- Assist in the preparation of handover documentation, punch lists, testing and commissioning plans, and final project close-out submissions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by recommending enhancements to construction methods, coordination procedures, and safety practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or an equivalent discipline.
- 5–8 years of solid site execution experience in building or infrastructure projects (GCC experience is an advantage).
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building materials, technical standards, and site coordination processes.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office; knowledge of Primavera P6 or MS Project is an added advantage.
- Thorough knowledge of quality assurance, safety regulations, and project documentation requirements.
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills for managing teams and dealing with stakeholders.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contractual documents accurately.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight project deadlines.
- GCC experience and a valid driving license are highly preferred.
