Dessert Holdings is looking for a Senior Recruiter to join our team based in Aurora, CO. The Senior Recruiter is a strategic talent acquisition partner responsible for high-volume hiring of hourly positions, including production, sanitation, maintenance, and quality technician roles—as well as select salaried and professional roles. This role leads full cycle recruiting and employer branding but also collaborates with HR and operational leadership to optimize retention, reduce attrition, and enhance workforce quality. Additionally, it supports food safety and quality systems (such as SQF, HACCP, GMP) to uphold employee and product integrity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Lead and manage recruiting end-to-end—intake, sourcing, interviews, offer negotiation, onboarding—while ensuring an outstanding candidate experience.
- Partner with hiring managers and HR leaders to develop strategic recruiting plans, forecast staffing needs, and drive workforce planning.
- Craft and execute multi-channel sourcing strategies, including active/passive sourcing, community outreach, job and career fairs, and referrals—boosting the candidate pipeline for both high-volume hourly and critical professional roles.
- Ensure consistent, high-quality candidate care, clear communication, and seamless interactions with hiring teams and stakeholders
- Track and analyze recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, pipeline health, source effectiveness) and continuously refine processes and ATS usage to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Partner with HR and operations to monitor attrition, develop retention tactics, and advise on employee relations matters to improve retention.
- Act as a liaison with QA teams to understand and apply SQF, HACCP, and GMP systems, ensuring hiring processes align with food safety and quality standards.
- Guide, coach, or mentor junior recruiters; help elevate team capabilities and lead major initiatives independently.
- Represent the company at recruitment events, promote diversity and inclusion through outreach, and enhance employer brand presence.
- Ensure adherence to employment laws, union guidelines, and internal policies; support enhancements and optimizations within the ATS/HRIS.
- Drive special recruiting initiatives, such as workforce expansion projects and process improvements as directed by HR leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:- Fluent in English and Spanish (reading, writing, speaking) required.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or related field Preferred.
- 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in fast-paced, high-volume settings—preferably in manufacturing or production environments.
- Working knowledge or exposure to SQF, HACCP, and GMP standards is strongly preferred.
- Proficient with ATS, sourcing tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter), Microsoft Excel, and HRIS platforms.
- Strong strategic thinking, consultative approach, and ability to apply data insights to drive hiring effectiveness.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple requisitions and projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently, lead projects, and drive improvements with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable performing in a high-demand, fast-paced workplace and work outside of business hours if necessary.
