Job Brief

Are you an experienced Reservoir Engineer passionate about applying advanced engineering and simulation tools to optimize field development and reservoir management?
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of our major global client, where you will play a vital role in supporting field development planning, reservoir modeling, and production optimization using industry-leading Reservoir Engineering (RE) and Petroleum Engineering (PE) applications.

The role involves conducting reservoir simulation studies, performing material balance and decline curve analyses, and generating production forecasts to guide business and operational decisions. You will work closely with geoscience, drilling, and production teams to ensure technically sound and value-driven subsurface workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform reservoir simulation studies to support field development and reservoir management strategies.
  • Conduct material balance calculations, decline curve analysis, and production forecasting to evaluate well and field performance.
  • Develop and maintain dynamic reservoir models to support production optimization and reserves estimation.
  • Integrate data and collaborate closely with geoscience, drilling, and production teams to deliver comprehensive field development solutions.
  • Support history matching, sensitivity analysis, and uncertainty assessments in reservoir simulations.
  • Provide technical input for reservoir surveillance plans and production optimization workflows.
  • Contribute to reserves estimation and documentation in alignment with industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot and support the use of RE & PE applications to ensure efficient, accurate, and reliable model outputs.
  • Participate in technical reviews, peer assists, and project planning discussions to ensure data quality and modeling consistency.
  • Mentor junior engineers and share best practices in simulation and reservoir engineering workflows.

Required Qualifications / Experience / Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10+ years of professional experience in reservoir engineering or related upstream roles.
  • Proven hands-on experience with reservoir simulation tools (e.g., Eclipse, CMG, tNavigator, or similar).
  • Expertise in material balance, decline curve analysis, and production forecasting.
  • Strong understanding of reservoir engineering principles, fluid flow in porous media, and PVT analysis.
  • Experience in production optimization, field development planning, and reserves estimation.
  • Proficiency in using Petroleum Engineering applications for analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data integrity and accuracy.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation abilities for multidisciplinary collaboration.
