Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Road Design Engineer (Designer) to lead and deliver road and highway design projects in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in geometric road design, drainage coordination, and compliance with Ashghal and Qatar standards, with hands-on design leadership experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead road and highway design from concept to detailed design.
• Prepare and review horizontal & vertical alignments, cross sections, profiles, junctions, and interchanges.
• Develop road layouts, pavement design, grading, and coordination with drainage and utilities.
• Ensure all designs comply with Ashghal standards, Qatar Highway Design Manual (QHDM), QCS, and international standards (AASHTO).
• Coordinate with drainage, utilities, traffic, structures, and other disciplines.
• Review design calculations, drawings, BOQs, and technical reports.
• Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and client presentations.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and ensure quality of deliverables.
• Support authority approvals and design submissions.
• Use design software such as Civil 3D, MX Road/OpenRoads, AutoCAD.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 8–15 years of experience in road/highway design, preferably in Qatar or GCC.
• Strong knowledge of Ashghal, QHDM, QCS, and AASHTO standards.
• Proficiency in:
• Civil 3D
• AutoCAD
• Experience in urban roads, highways, interchanges, and infrastructure projects.
