We are seeking a highly organized, deadline-driven Senior Purchasing Agent to lead procurement activities from our Inglewood headquarters. This role is mission-critical to cost control, production continuity, vendor performance, and material quality across domestic and international operations.

Position Summary

The Senior Purchasing Agent will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, purchasing, and tracking materials for hospitality furniture manufacturing, including wood components, hardware, upholstery materials, natural stone, engineered quartz, and fabricated countertop elements.

This individual must be structured, detail-oriented, and cross-functionally collaborative, with the ability to manage multiple production timelines concurrently. The ideal candidate understands both the technical requirements of manufacturing and the commercial implications of procurement decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source, qualify, and manage domestic and international vendors.
  • Issue and manage purchase orders in alignment with production schedules.
  • Review shop drawings and specifications to ensure accurate material procurement.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and quality standards.
  • Monitor material deliveries and proactively resolve delays.
  • Track cost variances and provide reporting to leadership.
  • Maintain vendor scorecards and performance metrics.
  • Coordinate with engineering and fabrication teams on:
  • Natural stone procurement
  • Engineered quartz specifications
  • Countertop fabrication tolerances
  • Insets, overlays, and table-to-base integrations
  • Ensure material compatibility with hospitality-grade manufacturing standards.
  • Support cost reduction initiatives and margin protection strategies.
  • Utilize CRM and project management systems to align procurement with sales pipeline and production forecasts.

Required Skills & Technical Proficiency

  • HubSpot (CRM integration with forecasting)
  • Asana (project tracking and cross-functional coordination)
  • Outlook (professional communication discipline)
  • Excel (advanced proficiency – pivot tables, cost modeling, vendor comparison analysis)
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Teams, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to read shop drawings and manufacturing specifications

Preferred Experience

  • 5+ years in purchasing within hospitality furniture manufacturing.
  • Working knowledge of:
  • Natural stone (granite, marble)
  • Engineered quartz (e.g., Silestone, Dekton, quartz composites)
  • Fabrication processes and tolerances
  • Countertop installation standards
  • Casegoods construction methods
  • Experience managing procurement for custom, project-based manufacturing.
  • Understanding of integration between millwork, stone fabrication, and base structures.

Performance Indicators

  • On-time material delivery rate
  • Purchase price variance (PPV)
  • Vendor compliance and quality performance
  • Production schedule adherence
  • Cost savings initiatives implemented

Compensation
