Senior Sales Engineer for Power Products

Justifications

The Sales Engineer slot is vacant for last 3 years and at the moment we are getting business for EMD Products sale is because of our past marketing efforts and if we have to continue our business in power products and test & measuring equipment, we need a dedicated Sales Engineer with below competency and experience. Many of the principals such as Merus Power -Finland, DV Power-Sweden, Hioki-Japan, T&R-UK, EAT-UK are expecting better business and marketing/promotional activities since year 2023 and beyond 2025.

Authorities

To generate opportunities, make suitable proposals and monitor/follow up for Sales with various contacts/medium of communications for tender announcements.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification: BE/B Tech in Electrical, Instrumentation or Electronics Engineering

Number of years of experience: Minimum 6-7 Years Experience in sales of Power Products and TMC equipment, handling brands such as ABB/Schneider/Merus/Fluke/Megger/Doble/Hioki...and similar brands

Area of experience required: Sales of Power Products and Test, Measuring and Calibration equipment as indicated above and sale of associated Services

Qatar Driving License is a must.

Candidate should have experience with Kahramaa or any other utilities in the Middle East region such as Kahramaa/EWASEC/DEWA/ADWEA/OTC..., Private Industries and EPC contractors.

Should have good written and verbal communication skills.

Arabic speaking will be an added advantage.

Specialized trainings required (if any): If need, will be given based on job exigencies.

Sales of above-mentioned Power Products Test, Measuring & Calibration equipment and associated Services

Responsibilities and Authorities:

Primarily Sales of Power Products and TMC Equipment and associated Services including PQ studies, repair & Calibration as detailed below:

  • To focus on PQ Solutions (APFC & AHF and Hybrid Solutions), Merus Power & EV Chargers
  • Conduct Seminars/demonstration of Power Products and TMC equipment to potential customers, prepare specifications, and lock-in our technical details in tender specifications.
  • To monitor/follow up with various contacts/medium of communications for tender announcements.
  • Communicate with Principals/suppliers regarding market intelligence, competitors’ activities, and negotiate better commercial terms with customers/suppliers.
  • Prepare and submit tenders/techno-commercial bid as per deadlines.
  • Follow up the offers/bids and render tech-commercial clarifications.
  • Upon award of Contract/Order to execute the project and liaise with Services or Calibration supervisors (if need) for smooth and timely project/work completion as indicated below.
  • Services: Such as Partial Discharge Survey/Monitoring, Power Quality Survey, Calibration at lab & site, IR Thermography and any associated Services.
