We are looking for a skilled and ambitious Sales Engineer to join the team and drive the sales
of steel structures. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, promoting steel and metal structures to potential clients, and nurturing existing client relationships. You will leverage your technical expertise and sales acumen to understand client needs, provide customized solutions, and deliver exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, a solid understanding of steel structures, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and competitive market.
Responsibilities:
- Generate leads, identify potential clients, and actively pursue new business opportunities for steel structures.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding the requirements, and ensuring their satisfaction with our products and services.
- Conduct market research to identify target industries, trends, and competitive offerings to develop effective sales strategies.
- Collaborate with the engineering and design teams to develop cost-effective and
- innovative steel structure solutions that meet client needs and comply with relevant codes and standards.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and quotations to
- prospective clients, emphasizing the unique features and benefits of our steel structures.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements for both parties.
- Coordinate with project managers, estimators, and other internal teams to ensure
- successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Stay up-to-date with industry advancements, emerging technologies, and best practices in steel structure design and construction.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to showcase our steel structure
- offerings, network with potential clients, and stay informed about market trends.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts, reports, and updates to management, highlighting
- sales performance, potential risks, and opportunities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- ● Proven track record in sales, preferably in the construction industry with a focus on steel structures in UAE for local and overseas markets.
- Must have an existing network of clients and relationships in this industry.
- Ability to generate their own leads and make immediate sales.
- Ability to eventually become a sales manager and recruit other sales engineers.
- Strong technical knowledge of steel structure design principles, construction methods and relevant codes and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, present technical information effectively, and negotiate with clients.
- Ability to understand client requirements, analyze project specifications, and provide
- tailored solutions.
- ● The result-oriented mindset with a proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and
- drive business growth.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in CRM software, project management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel to client sites, attend industry events, and conduct site visits as required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing market dynamics.
- Currently resides in the UAE.
