Role Description

As a Senior SAP MM Consultant, you will lead and oversee the implementation, configuration, and support of SAP FICO (Finance and Controlling) modules. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, engage with clients, analyze business processes, and provide expert-level guidance on SAP FICO functionalities.

What You’ll Be Doing

Core Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SAP MM implementation projects, including requirement gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and post-go-live support, ensuring successful delivery within specified timelines and scope.
• Collaborate with clients, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to understand procurement and supply chain business requirements, analyze processes, and provide optimal SAP MM solutions.
• Conduct comprehensive gap analysis to identify areas where SAP MM functionalities can address business needs and optimize procurement and supply chain processes.
• Design, configure, and customize SAP MM modules, including procurement, inventory management, material valuation, purchasing, and logistics execution, to meet business requirements and best practices.
• Ensure seamless integration of SAP MM with other modules, such as Finance (FI), Controlling (CO), and Sales and Distribution (SD), to achieve end-to-end process integration and data consistency.
• Lead and perform system testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing, to validate SAP MM functionalities and ensure alignment with business requirements.
• Provide expert-level guidance on SAP MM configuration, master data management, and transactional processes, ensuring best practices and compliance with legal and organizational standards.
• Analyze and optimize SAP MM system performance, identifying and implementing performance tuning measures to enhance system response time and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex functional issues related to SAP MM modules, collaborating with technical teams and SAP support as needed.
• Lead and mentor junior SAP MM consultants, reviewing their work, providing guidance, and fostering their professional growth.
• Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs and workshops to end-users, enabling them to effectively utilize SAP MM functionalities.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients and stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and providing ongoing support and guidance.
• Stay updated with the latest SAP MM advancements, new functionalities, and industry trends, sharing knowledge with the team and incorporating best practices into implementations.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of SAP MM documentation, including functional specifications, process flow diagrams, and user manuals.
• Collaborate with technical teams to support system enhancements, upgrades, and migrations related to SAP MM modules.
• Adhere to project management methodologies, change control processes, and company policies and procedures.
• Participate in pre-sales activities, including solution demonstrations, proposal development, and client presentations, showcasing SAP MM capabilities and benefits.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, driving innovation, and identifying opportunities for process optimization and automation within the SAP MM domain.

Experience & Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as an SAP MM Consultant, with a focus on SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA.
• Strong knowledge and expertise in SAP MM configuration, customization, and integration with other SAP modules.
• Extensive hands-on experience in leading SAP MM implementation projects, from requirement gathering to post-go-live support.
• In-depth understanding of procurement and supply chain processes, including purchasing, inventory management, material valuation, and logistics execution.
• Proficiency in SAP MM functionalities and features, including procurement processes, material requirements planning, source determination, and vendor evaluation.
• Experience with SAP integration technologies, such as IDocs, BAPIs, and RFCs, for seamless integration with other SAP modules and external systems.
• Ability to analyze complex business requirements, identify gaps, and propose innovative solutions.
• Ability to lead and guide cross-functional teams, manage project scope and timelines, and handle client expectations.
• Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• SAP MM certification is highly desirable.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP Fiori is advantageous.
• Strong commitment to professional development within the SAP MM domain.
• Ability to travel occasionally, as required, for project engagements or client meetings.
