POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Senior Scheduler owns the enterprise level integrated master schedule and drives alignment across demand, capacity, materials, and production execution. This role supports and partners with the Master Scheduler to ensure end to end coordination between long range planning, weekly scheduling cycles, and shop floor execution. The Sr Scheduler also provides customer-faced schedule feedback and capability assessments within 48 hours of notice.
These individual leads cross functional planning cycles, identifies constraints, models scenarios, and drives corrective actions that stabilize production performance. The role serves as a subject matter expert in ERP, MRP, capacity planning, and advanced scheduling methods.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Build and maintain a rolling 12-to-24-month enterprise master schedule that aligns backlog, forecast, capacity, and material readiness.

Provide customer facing capability and delivery feedback within 48 hours of request.

Collaborate with and support the Master Scheduler to align long range and short term schedules.

Partner with project management and sales to validate demand and confirm customer promise dates.

Drive monthly SIOP and weekly scheduling cycles to ensure operational readiness.

Track schedule adherence, capacity utilization, and production throughput.

Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and planning teams to validate material availability and support sequencing decisions.

Identify constraints and implement corrective actions to recover schedule performance.

Manage planning parameters, routings, and job structures within the ERP to ensure accurate MRP outputs.

Leverage Primavera P6, MS Project, Smart Sheets, and ERP scheduling tools for load leveling and risk analysis.

Provide escalation, recovery plans, and risk mitigation for schedule impacting issues.

Mentor schedulers and planners on best practices, data discipline, and scheduling standards.

JOB SKILLS:

Strong command of advanced production scheduling, material planning, and capacity modeling.

Ability to support both strategic master scheduling and near-term production scheduling.

Proficient in ERP and MRP systems with experience in multi-site resource planning.

Skilled in cross functional communication and influencing department level decisions.

Ability to provide timely and accurate customer-facing capability feedback.

Experience leading integrated planning cycles such as SIOP.

Strong analytical and communication skills.
EDUCATION & TRAINING:
-
BA or BS in Supply Chain, Operations, Business Administration, or related field.

Equivalent experience may substitute for degree.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
-
7 or more years in production scheduling, master scheduling, or capacity planning.

Experience providing customer-facing delivery and capability updates.
-
Proven experience supporting long range and short-range schedules.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

APICS, CPIM, PMP, or CSCP strongly preferred.

10 years prior experience as a Sr Scheduler or Senior Scheduler

Experience in high-paced industrial manufacturing environments.

Knowledge of lean flow and constraint-based scheduling.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Position is at least 80% to 95% at a desk working with computer. Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Performs other physical activities including use of fingers, sitting, stooping, bending, crouching, talking, hearing, and performing repetitive motions. Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision necessary to prepare and analyze data and figures, operate a computer terminal, and conduct extensive reading. The incumbent will be subject to inside environmental conditions.
