Role Purpose
The Senior Electrical Site Engineer is responsible for managing, supervising, and leading all on-site electrical works, ensuring they are carried out efficiently, safely, and according to design specifications and project timelines. The role involves coordination with stakeholders, overseeing junior engineers and subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
Key Accountabilities

Lead and supervise electrical installation, testing, and commissioning activities on site.

Review and interpret electrical drawings, technical specifications, and shop drawings, ensuring proper execution in line with project requirements.

Coordinate with project management, consultants, architects, and other engineering disciplines to resolve technical issues and avoid conflicts.

Prepare material submittals, method statements, and inspection requests for consultant/client approval.

Plan and monitor work schedules, manpower, and resources to ensure timely project delivery.

Ensure that all work complies with safety regulations, quality standards, and contract requirements.

Review and approve as-built drawings, and ensure documentation is updated regularly.

Manage subcontractors and site teams, ensuring their work meets the required standards.

Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and site teams.

Attend site meetings, inspections, and coordination sessions with stakeholders.

Identify and address design conflicts and suggest practical engineering solutions.

Prepare and submit periodic progress reports, snag lists, and handover documents.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.

4+ years of experience in electrical site engineering

Strong knowledge of electrical systems (power, lighting, ELV, fire alarm, etc.).

Familiar with local and international electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC).

Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and electrical calculation software (e.g., ETAP, Dialux, etc.).

Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project documentation.
