Position Name : Senior Site Engineer

Core responsibilities

• Project supervision: Manage daily site activities, supervise construction staff and subcontractors, and ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.
• Technical oversight: Check and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and designs to ensure they are being followed correctly on-site.
• Safety and quality control: Implement and enforce safety regulations, oversee quality control, and ensure that materials meet specifications and industry standards.
• Problem-solving: Resolve technical issues that arise during construction and suggest ways to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Planning and reporting: Assist with project planning, prepare reports, and conduct site surveys and leveling.
• Coordination: Liaise with the project team, contractors, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Required skills and qualifications

• Education: A bachelor's degree in engineering is often a requirement.
• Experience: Prior experience in a similar role or on construction sites is typically preferred.
• Technical skills: Proficiency in checking technical designs, construction methods, and calculating material quantities.
• Soft skills: Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential for coordinating with the team and resolving issues.
• Other: A driving license may be required, and knowledge of project management, safety regulations (like CDM or temporary works legislation), and related software is often necessary.
