Senior Site Engineer (Civil)

A Sr. Site Engineer (Civil) oversees all aspects of a civil construction project at the site level, including planning, execution, resource management, and quality control, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specified technical and safety standards. Key responsibilities include managing site operations, supervising construction crews, coordinating with stakeholders, solving technical issues, and mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Oversight: Manage and monitor all site activities, ensuring they align with project designs, specifications, and timelines.
• Technical Guidance: Provide technical advice and direction to on-site teams, solve engineering and construction-related challenges, and ensure technical designs are implemented correctly.
• Quality Control: Conduct site inspections to verify that work adheres to engineering standards, use high-quality materials, and maintain compliance with company policies.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations on the construction site and ensure compliance with government regulations and standards.
• Resource & Schedule Management: Plan and schedule construction tasks, manage the optimal use of resources, track project progress against timelines, and contribute to value engineering.
• Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and mentor junior engineers and site staff to achieve project objectives effectively.
• Reporting: Develop tracking charts, prepare and present project reports, and document all site activities and issues.

Qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: 5 years of experience in site engineering, construction management, or civil engineering projects.
• Skills: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD), strong leadership and communication skills, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills are essential.
