Field & Stream is seeking a Senior Social Video Editor to deliver high-impact, social-first video content during peak seasonal moments, including hunting and fishing seasons, gear launches, and major tentpole events.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Social Video Editor is a hands-on, execution-focused role responsible for editing and delivering high-quality short-form video optimized for social platforms. This role is brought in during peak seasons to quickly elevate output, maintain brand credibility, and support rapid publishing needs.

The ideal candidate is a senior-level editor who understands outdoor culture deeply and can make confident creative decisions under tight timelines—without overproducing or losing authenticity.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Edit short-form video for social platforms including Reels, Shorts, and feed
• Cut raw field footage, user-generated content, and original shoots into compelling social edits
• Apply platform-specific pacing, hooks, captions, and formatting
• Version content for multiple platforms as needed
• Collaborate with social leadership on creative direction, format testing, and iteration
• Turn around edits quickly during peak seasonal, news, or tentpole moments
• Deliver polished, on-brand video that reflects Field & Stream’s tone and audience expectations

WHO YOU ARE

Field & Stream is seeking a highly-motivated individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced, but disciplined, entrepreneurial environment. The ideal candidate brings senior-level judgment, speed, and cultural fluency to social video. This role also requires the following capabilities:

• A strong, social-first video editing portfolio
• Deep understanding of hunting, fishing, or outdoor culture sufficient to edit content credibly
• Ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality
• Strong understanding of native social video formats across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
• Confidence adapting and innovating formats based on platform trends
• Comfort receiving creative direction and iterating rapidly
• Strong editorial judgment, including knowing when to simplify rather than overproduce

• Critical thinker who loves solving complex problems outside of their comfort zone
• Meticulous attention to detail and the highest standards for accuracy, timeliness, and precision
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others and lead cross-functional project teams

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of professional video editing experience, with a strong focus on social video
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
• Experience using in-app editing tools across major social platforms
• Proficiency in Canva and Adobe Photoshop
• Ability to work independently in a seasonal or contract capacity

• Experience with After Effects or similar motion graphics tools
• Familiarity with Frame.io or similar video review and collaboration tools
• Prior experience editing content for media brands or culturally driven audiences
