Senior Video Editor

Job Summary

We’re a mobile app startup hiring an experienced video editor/creative producer to own video-first creative end-to-end. We’re looking for someone to step in, brainstorm fresh ideas, create compelling, engaging content, and help expand our footprint across TikTok, Instagram, Twitter/X, and more. Our immediate focus is creating high-quality, faceless vertical video ads. Over time, we’d like to expand into additional formats (series, longer-form, clips, carousels) as our content strategy grows.

Responsibilities (initial focus)

• Lead our short-form creative pipeline with the highest quality and consistency.
• Develop concepts and scripts that turn our product and messaging into story-driven vertical videos.
• Edit premium, retention-focused 9:16 ads (15–30s) with crisp visual hierarchy, motion text, and strong hooks.
• Source and integrate licensed stock/B-roll to elevate faceless storytelling while keeping brand tone consistent.
• Run iteration loops: versioning, revisions, and continuous improvement based on feedback and results.

Experience

• 4+ years professional editing/creative production or equivalent portfolio demonstrating high-level execution.
• Experience creating AI-generated visual elements or video clips to enhance storytelling.
• Proven ability to ideate + script + edit short-form vertical videos end-to-end (hook → narrative → polished final).
• Portfolio showing faceless/product-led storytelling with strong pacing and visual clarity.
• Strong command of retention editing (pacing, clarity on mobile, readable motion text, sound design).
• Experience shipping in fast-moving environments with shifting priorities and rapid iteration.
• Proficiency in professional editing + motion tools with clean project organization, versioning, and exports.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
