We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our dynamic the Health ; Wellness Digital team.You will be responsible for leading large scale cross-org backend solutions which touch many parts of the enterprise.
You'll work closely with product, design, business and engineering leadership to build high-performing, scalable, and secure software solutions for millions of Walmart pharmacy customers.
About Team:
Our team works closely with our US stores and Walmart Health and Wellness business to better serve customers by empowering team members, pharmacies, and clinics with technological innovation. From pharmacies and clinics, to mobile features, Walmart Health and Wellness offers an extensive selection that our customers and patients value, whether they meet with their clinicians online at Walmart.com, through one of our mobile apps, or in-store.
What you'll do:
Provide technical leadership to a team of engineers focused on building web and mobile solutions
Be technical partner to engineering managers and collaborate on - strategic engineering planning , roadmap sequencing, prioritization technical investments, providing technical feedback on their reports
Work closely with Business, Product, Design, and Engineering leadersto define upcoming projects and longer-term strategy for the team
Make hands-on engineering contribution to the core products
Mentor engineers on the team
Promote a culture of Technical Excellence
What you'll bring:
7+ years of experience in backend development.
Strong proficiency in backend programming languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, or Node.js.
Strong understanding of database systems (SQL and No SQL).
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Knowledge of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies.
Excellent ability to communicate complex technical ideas with clarity and precision in both written and verbal modes across multiple functional teams
Passionate about coaching and mentoring engineers of all experience levels
Passionate about solving deep technical challenges

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00-$234,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
