Position: Senior Software Engineer-SDS Author / Regulatory Documentation Specialist

Education Qualification: Bachelor’s or master’s in chemistry, Toxicology, Environmental Science, or a related field.

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented SDS Author with expertise in global chemical regulatory standards. You will be responsible for authoring, reviewing, and maintaining Safety Data Sheets (SDS), labels, and related hazard communication documents using various authoring platforms.

Your future duties and responsibilities

  • Work with US client on a daily basis to create and update SDSs, labels, and hazard communication documents using SDS authoring platforms such as ProSteward360, SAP EHS, and Sphera.
  • Ensure compliance with GHS, REACH, CLP, OSHA HCS, WHMIS, and other global chemical regulations.
  • Interpret chemical and toxicological data to ensure accurate classifications and hazard statements.
  • Collaborate with regulatory, toxicology, and product teams for data validation and approval.
  • Maintain version control and support multi-language document generation and localization.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and update documentation accordingly.
  • Deliver timely SDS updates and improve safety outcomes.
  • Perform peer quality reviews to report errors and improve overall performance.
  • Ability to train other SDS Authors on platform and business processes.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

Must to have skills-

2+ years of experience in SDS authoring or chemical regulatory compliance.
  • Knowledge of global SDS formats and regional classification systems.
  • Experience with PS360 or similar SDS authoring platforms (The WERCS, Intelligent Authoring, MSDGen, SAP EHS)
  • Familiarity with chemical databases (e.g., IUCLID, ChemIDplus).
  • Ability to work US based hours (8am -5pm EST)
  • Communicate directly with the customer on a daily basis on specific authoring tasks

  • Certified SDS Author (AIHA, SDSRP, or equivalent)
  • Dangerous good transport certification (DG)
  • Exposure to SAP EHS, REACH registration systems, or Poison Centre Notification tools.
  • Using task management software (JIRA, etc.) to track and prioritize tasks to timely complete
