About the role
We are looking for a Senior Software Quality Engineer to join us in our Bengaluru office. You will be part of a collaborative engineering team dedicated to ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our global securities finance technology platform.

In this role, you will take ownership of testing strategies across complex systems, driving quality improvements through automation, process enhancement, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams. This is an opportunity to contribute to a globally integrated fintech platform while applying your technical expertise and analytical skills to deliver exceptional product quality.

What you'll do

  • Lead and execute comprehensive test strategies across web, API, and data services within an Agile development environment.
  • Design, maintain, and scale automation frameworks and reusable test suites to ensure efficient regression coverage.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to define acceptance criteria and ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Proactively identify risks, gaps, and quality bottlenecks in software releases and propose data-driven improvements.
  • Own end-to-end quality assurance for assigned features, from planning and test case design through to release sign-off.
  • Develop and maintain automated testing pipelines integrated within CI/CD environments.
  • Mentor and support junior QA engineers, sharing knowledge of automation techniques, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Analyse production defects and contribute to continuous improvement of testing and release processes.
  • Participate actively in sprint planning, retrospectives, and cross-functional quality reviews.

What we're looking for

  • 5-8 years of experience in software quality assurance, with solid exposure to both manual and automated testing.
  • Strong hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Good programming or scripting knowledge in Java for automation development.
  • Experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose complex system behaviours.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to partner effectively across engineering and product teams.
  • A proactive approach to identifying quality improvements and driving automation initiatives.
  • Experience working within Agile environments and familiarity with software testing best practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
