Senior Specialist - Marketing - Ports

Core Responsibilities:

  • Direct effective execusion of marketing strategies for the Cluster and each of its businesses.
  • Provide guidance on cluster’s marketing plans, campaigns, initiatives and programs.
  • Foster successful relationships with key enablers for Cluster and/or its businesses’ marketing and PR activities via open communication and responsiveness to issues affecting the strategic direction, reputation or meeting its objectives.
  • Manage overall marketing services to protect the reputation of the cluster and consistently promote its services.
  • Develop a customer-centric culture in which team members are encouraged and empowered to develop integrated projects that demonstrate marketing excellence.
  • Control budget and actual expenditure on marketing activities.
  • Conduct market research to study industry best practices; latest channels, materials and tools; and propose new ideas in the cluster to promote products and services.
  • Review cluster’s marketing content and the appropriate channels to attract customers.
  • Prepare reports with regards to cluster’s marketing performance, current activities, bottlenecks and recommendation plans.

    Responsibilities: People Management Responsibilities:

    Provide strong and visionary leadership, supervision, and guidance to the team, setting clear expectations and creating a culture of accountability.
    Ensure that the team has access to the necessary resources, including budget and technology, to support their projects.
    Promote diversity and inclusion within the team to harness a broader range of perspectives and ideas.
    Coach and mentor direct reports ensuring the effective management of their teams.

    Strategic Responsibilities:

    Develop the brand strategy for the Cluster and its businesses including the development of the brand position and value propositions for each of the customer segments.
    Provide supervision over the activities of marketing and communications department ensuring that the team’s output is integrated, meets objectives and is measured.
    Manage the processes, workflows and the structure of the department ensuring that they are optimised, and that high-quality output is delivered
  • Ensure that the marketing and communications department is aligned with procurement, operations and HR to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

    Qualifications: Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field. Master's degree is a plus
    High level of proficiency in English; working knowledge of Arabic is desirable.
  • A minimum of 6-8 years of experience in a similar role
