Senior Specialist - System Management

Role description

Job Responsibilities

1 Administer and support Oracle Exadata environments including RAC ASM and Grid Infrastructure

2 Perform database patching upgrades and performance tuning on Exadata systems

3 Monitor and manage storage cells compute nodes and Infiniband switches

4 Troubleshoot database and hardware issues in coordination with Oracle support

5 Implement and maintain backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and Data Guard

6 Ensure high availability and disaster recovery configurations are in place and tested

7 Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams for performance optimization

Experience Required 7 to 10 years

Location - Bangalore & Pune

Requirements

1) 7 to10 years experience as Exadata admin on prem and Cloud

2) Strong handson experience with Oracle Exadata X7 and above preferred

3) Strong handson experience with on prem Oracle Database to Exadata OCI database migration

4) Proficiency in Oracle RAC ASM RMAN and Data Guard

5) Proficiency in Oracle Autonomous DB

6) Experience with Exadata monitoring tools eg OEM AWR ADDM

7Worked on Heavy databases 100 TB Filesystem and ASM

8) Adding Disk in ASM and Adding datafiles in RAC temp files etc The skills you bring

9) Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures RMAN backup Level0 level1 level2 Logical Backup Exports

10) Different backup and recovery scenarios understanding through RMAN

11) Restoration backup point in time recovery control file restoration datafile restoration

12) Implement and maintain Database security create and maintain users and roles assign privileges

13) Perform database tuning and performance monitoring Plan changing understanding how to fix plan

14) Perform application tuning and performance monitoring
