Senior SQA Engineer (Automation)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SQA Engineer with strong hands-on experience in automation testing across various tools and frameworks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality through the design, implementation, and execution of robust automated test suites. You will play a key role in optimizing testing strategies and mentoring junior QA team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, JMeter, Postman, Playwright, or equivalent.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide test coverage.
• Perform API testing, performance testing, and regression testing across platforms.
• Continuously improve the automation framework for scalability and reusability.
• Lead and participate in code reviews and QA best practices discussions.
• Create and maintain detailed test documentation, test cases, and test data.
• Identify, track, and manage bugs using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and help uplift the overall quality assurance capability.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with a focus on automation.
• Proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with testing tools such as:
• Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit
• JMeter, Postman, REST Assured
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and documentation skills.

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
• Experience with mobile automation using Appium.
• ISTQB or other relevant certifications.
