Responsibilities
- Provide support to accounting department in the processing and review of financial transactions
- Assist in review of general ledger to ensure proper coding of invoices and journal entries
- Assist in review of financial statements to identify unusual transactions and confirm validity
- Post journal entries to record various transactions
- Assist in preparing year end financials and answering questions to external accountants while preparing tax returns
- Document all policies and procedures and share with department
- Train to assist in all other aspects of the accounting department, including Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
- Collaborate with coworkers within and outside the accounting department to implement changes or suggest new ideas
- Assist Accounting Manager with projects as assigned, as well as independently recognize additional tasks that are necessary
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration, or equivalent experience
- QuickBooks experience a plus, but not required
- Ability and willingness to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to become a resource to others in the department needing assistance
- Must be able to multitask, prioritize, and organize efficiently
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Flexibility in a fast paced, ever-changing environment
- Desire to learn and improve with a fast-growing business
- Ability to work independently with minimal intervention
- Ability to audit internal books and find errors or procedure problems, and suggest solutions, and execute corrections
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
