Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role is ideal for someone with 3+ years of accounting experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about accuracy, financial integrity, and continuous improvement.
As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in financial reporting, general ledger management, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes. You will work closely with leadership to ensure compliance with GAAP standards, support audits, and contribute to data-driven business decisions.
Duties
- Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Maintain and manage the general ledger
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Process and verify accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Manage invoicing and ensure accurate billing
- Support collections and account reconciliation efforts
Reconciliations & Audit Support
- Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations
- Assist with year-end audit preparation and documentation
- Work with external auditors to provide required financial data
Tax & Compliance
- Assist with sales tax filings and reporting
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
Operational Support
- Support improvements in accounting processes and systems
- Maintain accurate financial records across systems
- Assist with additional accounting and finance-related duties as needed
- Ability to mentor team members effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment focused on continuous improvement.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate account reconciliation and regulatory compliance.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in accounting, staff accounting, or senior accounting roles
- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and GAAP
- Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks Online (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to analyze financial data and solve problems independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience in audit support, tax reporting, or process improvement
- Experience working in a fast-paced or multi-entity environment
- Assist with monthly close, including balance sheets and income statements
- Prepare and analyze financial reports (P&L, reconciliations, variance analysis)
- Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
