Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Have single-point responsibility for all mechanical equipment engineering static design deliverables and ensure that they conform to all applicable engineering codes and standards as well as the Client's policies and procedures
• Provide input to the preparation of Technical Work Practices (TWP's) and Standards
• Support the planning, scheduling and execution of discipline activities and deliverables, including manhour estimating and schedule preparation to support bid/tendering as required
• Identify any areas of concern with respect to progress and/or quality and recommend corrective actions as required
• Attend weekly internal and external progress meetings and generate status reports for the Engineering/Project Manager
• Ensure all team members are competency assessed and maintain the competency of the team in line with company and Client requirements

Expected

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in Oil and Gas industry
• Strong Knowledge in Static Equipment Design and Engineering
• Familiarity with International Codes / Standards
• Taking full responsibility as a package Engineer for the Static Equipment / Packages
• Participation in HAZOP / SIL reviews and various workshops
• Experience in preparing Equipment selection reports during CONCEPT, FEED phase
• Experience in executing EPC Projects

Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Static Engineer to be based at office in Abu Dhabi within our Oil, Gas & New Energies business based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Due to the nature of the projects and client expectation, the position will be based at our office in Abu Dhabi.
