Senior Stockman - Dairy Farm

• Oversees daily livestock care (feeding, milking, health), manages junior staff, maintains facilities, handles breeding/nutrition, ensures welfare compliance, and records production data, requiring extensive experience, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of dairy operations for optimal herd health and productivity.
• Supervise daily feeding, watering, milking, health monitoring, and welfare for the herd.
• Train, mentor, and lead junior stockmen and farmhands in best practices.
• Oversee barn, equipment, and pasture upkeep for a safe environment.
• Assist with breeding programs, artificial insemination, and nutrition planning.
• Maintain detailed records (health, production, breeding) and ensure adherence to welfare standards and policies.
• Work with vets and specialists to improve herd health and efficiency.
