Job Specifications and Responsibilities:
- Must have worked as Senior Stockman minimum of 3 years from an agriculture or farm industry.
- Candidate will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of a company's inventory and stock levels
- Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies and control procedures to optimize stock levels and streamline supply chain processes.
- Continuously monitor inventory levels, analyze sales trends, and forecast demand to inform procurement decisions and prevent stockouts or overstocking.
- Oversee daily inventory operations, including the receiving, storing, organizing, and dispatching of stock, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular, detailed inventory audits and cycle counts to identify discrepancies and generate insightful reports on stock movement, turnover rates, and adjustments for management and the finance division.
- Coordinate with suppliers and the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of stock and resolve any related issues or delays promptly.
- Lead, train, and mentor junior stock management or warehouse staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Identify and drive process improvements and recommend technological solutions to enhance overall efficiency and productivity in inventory management.
