Senior Store Keeper

The Role

• Manage and supervise all store and warehouse operations for construction materials. • Maintain accurate records of material receipts, issues, and stock balances. • Receive, inspect, and verify materials delivered to the site according to purchase orders and specifications. • Ensure proper storage, labelling, and preservation of materials to prevent damage or loss. • Coordinate with procurement, site engineers, and project management teams for material requirements and deliveries. • Monitor stock levels and notify procurement when materials need replenishment. • Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports. • Supervise store assistants and ensure proper material handling procedures. • Maintain proper documentation including GRN (Goods Received Notes), material issue vouchers, and stock registers. • Conduct periodic stock checks and inventory audits. • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and inventory control procedures. • Coordinate with logistics teams for material loading, unloading, and distribution to site teams.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred). • 5–8 years of experience in storekeeping or warehouse management in building construction projects. • Strong knowledge of construction materials and inventory control procedures. • Experience in handling store documentation and stock management systems. • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word). • Good organizational and record-keeping skills. • Strong communication and coordination abilities. • Ability to supervise store staff and manage multiple material requests efficiently. • Experience working on large residential, commercial, or high-rise building projects
