Senior Structural Engineer

Overview

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a skilled Structure Engineer to supervise the erection and installation of steel structures for Overground metro stations, including platforms, concourses, foot overbridges, and roofing systems. This role is critical to ensuring structural integrity, quality, and compliance with international standards throughout the construction phase.

Your role

• Supervise the erection and installation of steel structures for OG metro stations, including platforms, concourses, foot overbridges, and roofing systems.
• Ensure that all structural works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and relevant codes (IS, IRC, Eurocode, etc.).
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to resolve technical issues on-site.
• Monitor construction progress, quality control, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Conduct regular site inspections and prepare detailed reports on structural works, including non-conformities and corrective actions.
• Review and verify shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals related to steel structures.
• Liaise with design teams to address site-related design modifications or clarifications.
• Ensure proper documentation of inspections, approvals, and quality records.

About you

• Bachelor's/master's degree in civil or Structural Engineering.
• 15+ Years of expereince in Building projects.
• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication, welding, bolting, and erection techniques.
• Familiarity with structural drawings, connection detailing, and construction sequencing.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD; knowledge of BIM tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
