Senior Structural Engineer

Job Description

VX Studio Consultancy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer (Site Based) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering, particularly with high-rise buildings and large-scale projects, and proven experience in consultancy and site supervision.

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of all structural works on site. You will liaise closely with project managers, architects, contractors, and consultants to deliver successful projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and oversee structural works on site to ensure compliance with design, codes, and project specifications.
• Review and approve structural shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues related to structural works.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor construction progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to junior engineers and site teams.
• Prepare and review structural reports, progress updates, and site documentation.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in structural engineering, with at least 5 years in site-based consultancy roles.
• Strong background in high-rise buildings and large-scale projects.
• Familiarity with international codes and standards (ACI, BS, Eurocode, etc.).
• Proficiency in structural engineering software and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and multidisciplinary environment.
• UAE experience is highly preferred.
