Senior Student Recruitment Manager

As part of the Murdoch University Dubai team, the Senior Student Recruitment Manager plays a key role in driving student recruitment growth, achieving enrolment targets, and leading strategic initiatives that support long-term market expansion.


Reporting to the Director of Marketing, Recruitment and Admissions and working closely with in-market teams, this role manages a range of recruitment activities, including student pipeline development, agent engagement, lead generation events, and responding to enquiries from students, parents, and agents.


A key aspect of the role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing strategic agent partners, including counsellors, branch managers, and their leadership teams. The Student Recruitment Manager will play an active role in supporting their efforts to engage prospective students, improve conversion outcomes, and develop a sustainable pipeline across priority markets.


The role also includes representing the university at agent meetings, school fairs, and exhibitions, and providing counselling to prospective students in alignment with the institution’s recruitment objectives.


In addition, the Senior Student Recruitment Manager contributes to the development of marketing assets, fosters cross-functional collaboration, and, over time, will mentor and support new team members to strengthen capacity across the region.


Key Responsibilities:


Student Recruitment

  • Lead recruitment efforts to meet enrolment targets and enhance brand presence
  • Develop initiatives and partnerships aligned with strategic goals
  • Manage the applicant pipeline to drive strong conversion rates
  • Advise students on fees, scholarships, visas, and enrolment requirements
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth student journey


Agent Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with agents across key markets
  • Deliver training and updates on programs, admissions, and processes
  • Support lead generation and conversion through regular agent engagement
  • Represent the university at agent events and networking functions


Strategy & Execution

  • Plan and implement effective recruitment strategies and campaigns
  • Set and monitor recruitment targets aligned with growth objectives
  • Evaluate and adjust strategies based on performance insights


Stakeholder Engagement

  • Foster relationships with schools, consultants, and community partners
  • Engage directly with students and parents via meetings and events


Event Management

  • Organize and represent the university at local and international events
  • Coordinate travel and logistics for recruitment outreach


Data & Reporting

  • Use CRM tools to track performance and analyse recruitment trends
  • Prepare reports and recommend improvements to leadership
  • Implement follow-up strategies to improve enrolment outcomes


Marketing Support

  • Collaborate with marketing on recruitment content and campaigns
  • Ensure materials are current and aligned with brand goals
  • Contribute to communications, including digital and print assets


Qualifications:

Education:

  • Degree in higher education, marketing, business, or related field preferred.


Experience:


  • Minimum 5 years in student recruitment, agent or enrolment management in higher education
  • Proven ability to lead teams and deliver effective recruitment strategies
  • Strong experience managing agent networks and supporting counsellors
  • Proficient in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and data-driven decision making
  • Familiar with digital marketing tools for lead generation and engagement
  • Experience collaborating across departments to support student conversion

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent in-country travel required for school visits, recruitment events, and agent engagement
  • Flexible working hours, including availability for evening and weekend events when necessary
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment with evolving priorities
