Senior Supply Chain Specialist

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

S&OP

• Participate in daily, & monthly S&OP calls to meet targeted service levels, ensure connectivity of imported RM and minimize inventory levels.

• Measures (introduces) and owns service related KPI’s such as DIFOT, lead-time, Inventory.
  

Working Capital

• Monitors and minimizes the inventory level without having any impact on desired high service level.

• Measures and owns inventory related KPI’s such as DOI, GIT.

• Conducts analysis on turnover-rates (ABC-XYZ) and determines replenishment schemes, reorder-points, etc. in cooperation with plant supply chain team and sales team.
  

Sourcing

• Interact with category sourcing managers to ensure supply continuity with lowest possible landed cost.

• Responsible for local Sourcing of item category assigned.

• Liaison with EXIM for smooth operations of import activities.

• Statutory compliances, ensure SOP and DOA are adhered in all supply chain and sourcing activities.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with various stake holders, collaborate and drive teamwork.

• Fosters and drives best-practice sharing and benchmarking to achieve supply chain excellence (service level, inventory, and GIT)

• Keeps tracks of new developments and digital solutions by attending trainings and visiting vendors

• Ensure that a responsible and dynamic image is presented in all dealings with external organization.

• Ensure the company's interests are fully protected by developing relations and representation with industry bodies and contacts.

• Ensure that a profession and responsible image is presented in all internal dealings and Huhtamaki Group

• Ensure that Huhtamaki code of conduct, values, ethical standards, and legal compliance is followed and adhered to across whole organization and in all activities.

Supply Chain

• Consolidate demand from all the plants for imported items to be prepared latest by 30th for next 4-month, post getting Projection by 22nd of every month.

• This needs to be reviewed with planning head with all the option i.e., extra Rm lying at other plants even with higher widths, slow moving items, any other options to reduce the inventory and aged stocks and orders to be placed post review.

• Align for domestic Foil procurement based on demand. Day to day alignment with local foil supplier, working on order status and prioritization and regular follow-ups. Align with Sourcing, Imports and Marketing against Advance license uses and if any changes is being planned.

• Align smooth placement of order, by creating Sanction note and get the same approved for PO creation. Coordinate with respective team to ensure PO is being raised on time. Coordinate with vendors to get supplies on time.

• Monthly Meeting with Suppliers Alerts to be raised in case anticipated delays and corrective actions to mitigate risk (whatever best can be done) Allocation of orders to be in line with commercial agreements and SOB given by sourcing team Forward buying coordination along with all the stake holders as and when required Monthly review on overage inventory of import items and prepare consumption plan to ensure KPI targets are being met.

• SKU Rationalization for all imported items and review on quarterly basis Lodge claim against rejection and ensure settlement on priority basis. Review to be done on monthly basis.

The position holder should be ready to lead full Demand Planning (RM requirement generation for HIL Group for mentioned categories - Import and Domestic as well) and drive whole cycle from order placement till delivery.

Skills Required:

• Good Communication & Analytical skills including MS Office Excel, Power point etc.

• Should have the ability to develop strategies to drive key elements of demand forecasting and RM planning.

• High on Interpersonal Skills to deal with people - internal and external.

• Professional with fair and balanced approach to resolve issues with the right perspective.

• Operates with Highest levels of integrity & ethics.

Role Specific Competencies:

Qualification and Experience -

• Graduate, preferably an engineer

• 4 - 8 years of experience in supply chain, preferably in material planning, sourcing or production planning

• Preferred industries – packaging, chemicals, industrial manufacturing
