Roles and Responsibilities – Senior Surveyor

Survey Planning and Execution

Plan and execute topographical, boundary, and construction surveys using DGPS, Total Station, and drone technology.

Prepare survey schedules and ensure all activities align with project timelines and standards.

DGPS and Total Station Operation

Conduct precise geodetic and engineering surveys using Differential GPS and Total Station instruments.

Calibrate equipment regularly and ensure data accuracy.

Drone Surveying and Data Processing

Operate drones (UAVs) for aerial surveys, mapping, and volumetric calculations.

Process drone-captured data using photogrammetry and GIS software to generate orthophotos, 3D models, and contour maps.

Data Management and Reporting

Compile, analyze, and interpret collected data.

Prepare survey drawings, reports, and technical documentation for project teams and clients.

Team Leadership and Supervision

Lead junior surveyors and field assistants during survey operations.

Provide technical guidance, training, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

Client and Contractor Coordination

Attend site meetings and present technical survey findings when required.

Compliance and Safety

Ensure all surveying activities comply with legal, environmental, and safety regulations.

Maintain accurate survey records and backups for audit and reference.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

Keep up to date with technological advancements in surveying and geospatial technologies.

Suggest improvements in methods and tools for enhanced accuracy and productivity.
