The role

CCSG operates across Insurance, Asset Finance and Banking and Finance sectors. This is an incredible opportunity to join a dynamic team responsible for managing credit accounts for our clients.

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Systems Engineer to join our team. The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and securing CCSG's Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments in alignment with ISO27001 and Essential Eight controls. This role plays an important part in enhancing CCSG's cyber resilience and operational maturity by embedding security by design, automating infrastructure, and mentoring junior IT staff.

We work on a hybrid working model (3 days in the office and 2 days at home).

Responsibilities

Here's an example of your day to day:

• Design and manage secure, scalable Azure and M365 environments;
• Align solutions with ISO27001 (Access Control, Operations Security, Incident Management);
• Administer identity & access via Microsoft Entra (PIM, RBAC, Conditional Access);
• Implement and monitor security tools:(Defender, Purview, Secure Score);
• Enforce device hardening and compliance via Intune & Autopilot;
• Apply Azure governance (Policies, Blueprints, Cost Management);
• Automate tasks using advanced PowerShell scripting;
• Lead cloud security incident response and support audits;
• Provide escalation support and mentor junior staff.

Requirements

Culture fit is key, and we value both experience and qualities such as:

• Minimum 5+ years in senior technical roles with a focus on cloud infrastructure and security;
• Expertise in Microsoft Azure (networking, compute, storage, and security);
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive);
• Strong skills with Microsoft Entra ID (access reviews, lifecycle workflows, and Privileged Identity Management (PIM);
• Experience with Microsoft Defender and Intune (configuration baselines and compliance profiles);
• Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell
• Excellent understanding of ACSC Essential Eight mitigation strategies
• Proficiency with secure cloud operations tools (Azure Firewall, Key Vault, Network Security Groups (NSGs), and Log Analytics);
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical risks into business impacts

Desirable:

• Experience with ISO27001 certification processes or surveillance audits;
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, and Dataverse);
• Knowledge of Remote Management and Maintenance tools;
• Experience working with IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms;
• Relevant Microsoft certifications - Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Identity and Access Administrator Associate, and Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals.
