Senior Tax Preparer

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Tax Preparer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will lead complex tax preparation projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current tax laws and regulations. Your expertise will help clients navigate intricate tax scenarios, including estate planning, corporate accounting, and regulatory reporting, while providing exceptional service that exceeds expectations. This is an in-person position with one day a week WFH.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review detailed federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and non-profit organizations
• Oversee bookkeeping in the mangement of small business accounts and client relationships
• Assist clients with tax planning strategies
• Utilize advanced accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other financial software tools for efficient bookkeeping and financial management
• Support business development and new client onboarding
• Contribute to improvement of the tax preparation workflows and processes
• Advise small businesses and oversee bookkeepers

Experience

• Proven experience in public accounting or corporate accounting with a focus on tax preparation and compliance
• CPA or EA and plus
• Extensive knowledge of tax experience including tax accounting practices, double entry bookkeeping, and financial statement preparation
• Strong understanding of GAAP standards, financial analysis techniques, and regulatory reporting requirements
• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms; familiarity with financial software for analysis and reconciliation tasks
• Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately
• Strong communication skills for interacting with a wide range of clients

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
