Job Summary
We are seeking a Technical Support Analyst to provide IT support and system administration services within the Office of Information Technology (OIT). The role supports the State Offices South (Tift Campus) and associated facilities, ensuring smooth operation of hardware, software, and Google Workspace systems.
The ideal candidate will troubleshoot end-user issues, manage Chromebooks and Google Admin tools, and provide exceptional support in both classroom and office environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and manage Google Chrome Management Console and Google Workspace tools (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar, etc.).
- Configure, deploy, and maintain Chromebooks and related educational applications.
- Provide Tier 1–2 technical support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Monitor system performance, usage metrics, and security compliance.
- Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions.
- Enforce device policies, content filters, and security settings.
- Maintain accurate inventory and documentation for devices and procedures.
- Collaborate with educational and technical teams to ensure seamless technology integration.
- Participate in planning meetings and identify opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in IT support or system administration (education environment preferred).
- Hands-on experience with Google Workspace and Chrome OS management.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with Google Admin Console and Chrome Management Console.
- Experience with Apple products and Mac support.
- Knowledge of network connectivity, Wi-Fi troubleshooting, and endpoint security.
- Familiarity with device imaging, policy configuration, and remote management tools.
- Experience supporting web-based apps or learning management systems (LMS).

Preferred Qualifications

Working Conditions
- Standard office/hybrid environment.
- Some travel throughout Georgia may be required.
- Occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs).
- Must be able to enter secured correctional facilities with escort when required.

Pay: Up to $37.27 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
