About this role

We are seeking a highly capable and passionate Senior Test Engineer to join our Software Engineering team. This role is pivotal in supporting VOIS’s strategic growth by leading testing efforts, designing robust test strategies, and implementing automation and standardisation practices. The individual will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, ensuring high-quality software delivery across web, mobile, and API platforms.

What you’ll do

• Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive test strategies, plans, and cases
• Lead testing for complex features or projects, coordinating with developers and product owners
• Develop and execute both automated and manual test suites
• Conduct performance, regression, functional, and integration testing
• Analyse and troubleshoot complex issues, providing detailed defect reports
• Ensure optimal test coverage through risk-based analysis
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and retrospectives
• Mentor junior test engineers and promote QA best practices
• Drive continuous improvement in QA processes and tools
• Lead defect triage meetings and collaborate on root cause analysis
• Write clean, maintainable test automation code using OOP principles
• Build and maintain automation frameworks for web, mobile, and APIs
• Review automation code for quality and maintainability

Who you are

• Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance
• 2 years in automation using selenium and at least 6month or knowledge for APPIUM
• Experience in mentoring or acting as a lead preferrably 6+ months
• Proficient in English (B2 level or higher)
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Skilled in Web, Mobile, and API testing
• Experienced in Agile/Scrum and DevOps environments
• Proficient with tools like Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, Postman, REST Assured
• Hands-on with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium
• Proficient in Python, JavaScript, or Java
• Familiar with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure, GitHub Actions)
• Knowledge of Docker and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Locust) is a plus
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Relevant QA certifications (e.g., ISTQB Foundation Level)
