The Senior Training and Development Coordinator will:
Design, deliver, and manage training programs that enhance employee skills and performance;

Support the strategic goal of building a knowledgeable, capable, and engaged workforce that drives organizational success;

Develop and facilitate targeted learning experiences.

How does it get done?

The Senior Training and Development Coordinator is responsible for:

Maintaining and revising instructional materials to reflect current operational and policy updates;

Designing new learning content and interactive activities that enhance learner engagement and retention;

Monitoring training content usage and quiz performance to inform future instructional strategies;

Managing version control and documentation life cycle to ensure training materials remain compliant and up to date;

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align training products with evolving program and policy requirements;

Leading delivery of new hire orientation, field-based training, and virtual instructor-led sessions;

Managing and updating on-boarding materials to support consistent and effective on-boarding experiences;

Facilitating continuing education sessions, including policy refreshers and updates, to ensure staff remain informed and compliant;

Providing critical support to new hires, coordinating schedules and delivery priorities to meet field training needs.

Health Care Authority (HCA) in-house or contract personnel training;

Personnel and external customers including all HCA customers.

Minimum Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in any field and two (2) years of experience in adult education, instructional design, instructional technology, human resources, employee development, training, and/or producing instructional aid/materials. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Employment Requirements

Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.

Must obtain a Defensive Driving Certificate.

Employment is subject to a pre-employment criminal background investigation and is conditional pending results.
Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs

Frequent interaction with virtual instructor-led training platforms and collaboration tools within the Microsoft 365 suite (including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Tasks may involve prolonged periods of screen time, digital communication, and remote facilitation of training sessions. Occasional in-person meetings or training events may be required depending on program needs
