Overview

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior UI/UX Designer to shape and redesign our e-commerce retail experiences across web and mobile. In this role, you’ll contribute to designing and transforming our digital ecommerce stores, combining deep user empathy with strategic business thinking. You’ll work closely with product managers, engineers, and marketing teams to craft seamless and engaging customer journeys—from product pages to checkout—helping drive design and brand alignment across digital touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Experience Design: Design exceptional and intuitive experiences, across web and mobile platforms, focused on product discovery, shopping, checkout, and post-purchase experiences.
  • Supporting feature iterations through an agile, iterative design process, rapidly refining solutions based on user feedback and evolving business needs.
  • Conversion Optimization: Apply best practices in e-commerce design to guide customers through the sales funnel, utilizing UX patterns for upselling, cross-selling, and personalized recommendations.
  • User Research & Usability Testing: Conduct customer interviews, heatmap analysis, A/B testing, and usability studies to uncover pain points and identify opportunities for increased engagement and sales.
  • Design Systems: Create and maintain design systems and reusable component libraries that support merchandising, promotions, seasonal campaigns, and scalability.
  • Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders across merchandising, marketing, engineering, and analytics to align design strategies with business goals and KPIs.
  • Performance Analysis: Support validation and monitor key e-commerce metrics—such as conversion rate, cart abandonment, and average order value—to best inform design decisions.
  • Accessibility: Ensure all designs are fully responsive, accessible, and compliant with relevant e-commerce regulations.

With a strong sense of empathy, you translate complex requirements into intuitive, user-friendly solutions, continually elevating both your work and the team’s output to deliver outstanding digital retail products that driver conversion. Your modern design sensibility and keen attention to detail set the benchmark for visually stunning and highly effective e-commerce experiences.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in UI/UX/Product Design, with a strong portfolio showcasing e-commerce or retail projects.
  • Deep understanding of online retail user behavior, conversion optimization, and digital merchandising.
  • Mastery of design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.) and prototyping platforms.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and drive alignment across marketing, engineering, and business teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in presenting design solutions that drive business outcomes.
  • Solid grasp of responsive and accessible design for e-commerce.

Qualifications

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX process—research, wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and final UI—with measurable outcomes (conversion, engagement, etc.).
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing within established design systems; experience building or evolving design systems is highly desirable.
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, human behavior, and usability standards for large-scale digital products.
  • Hands-on experience conducting and interpreting user research, usability testing, A/B testing, and data analytics to inform design decisions.
  • Familiarity with web and mobile accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG, ADA) and inclusive design best practices.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Exposure to e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, etc.) or experience working with cross-sell, up-sell, and personalized merchandising solutions is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and/or front-end frameworks is advantageous but not required.
  • Experience with retail platforms (e.g., Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud) and integrations.
  • Must be available to work onsite or remotely during standard business hours (9am–5pm), maintain accountability for timely deliverables, and collaborate closely with the manager and broader team.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferred in Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or related discipline.
  • Master’s degree in a design, technology, or business-related field is a plus.
  • Formal UX/UI certifications and ongoing professional development highly valued.
  • Must demonstrate a robust portfolio featuring measurable outcomes for E-commerce or retail digital products.
  • Experience with accessibility standards and analytics-driven design approaches preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in agency or product related environments designing consumer facing digital experiences.
  • Expertise designing engaging Ecommerce experiences
  • Experience designing mobile-first and responsive web pages
  • Ability to rapidly generate and produce multiple concepts and solutions
  • Experience with both qualitative and quantitative testing
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping software such as Adobe, Sketch, Figma and Invision
  • Knowledge of UX best practices and trends
  • Strong understanding of information hierarchy and typography
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Understanding of how data and qualitative research inform product and design decisions
  • User-Centered Design Principles: Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies to create intuitive and user-friendly designs.
  • Proficiency in Design Tools: Expertise in using design tools such as Sketch, Figma, and Adobe XD, to create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.
  • Interaction Design and Information Architecture: Strong skills in interaction design and information architecture to define and document design details through process flows, site maps, wireframes, and functional specifications.
  • Usability Testing and User Research: Experience with usability testing and user research methods to gather insights and inform design decisions.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving and Attention to Detail: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail to anticipate and mitigate risks during information synthesis and arrive at possible solutions for interactive designs.
  • Front-End Technologies: Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus to build interactive models and prototypes.
  • Providing expert advice and fostering a collaborative and innovative design environment.
  • Proficient in rapid prototyping to translate concepts into interactive user flows and high-fidelity mockups for web and mobile.
  • Experienced in designing within established design systems to ensure consistency, scalability, and brand alignment across all digital touchpoints.
Experience in building or contributing to comprehensive design systems is a strong plus.


Compensation, Benefits and Duration

Minimum Compensation: USD 50,000
Maximum Compensation: USD 175,000
Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.
