Position Overview
The Senior Universal Banker will engage in sales and service solution activities and contributes directly to the success of the banking center by recognizing and uncovering opportunities. The Senior Universal banker will exhibits leadership behaviors including but not limited to coaching Associate and Universal Bankers and provide support to the Banking Center Manager and Assistant Manager as needed. The Senior Universal Banker shall also be able to perform cash handling and account opening duties. This position will participate in the daily operations of the branch; including but not limited to, assisting customers with account management and other financial services needs and providing timely and efficient completion of customer transactions while maintaining accurate records and thorough handling of all monies assigned. This position will proactively participate in the sales/quality referral process of the branch as directed by management. The incumbent is able to follow EverTrust Bank policy and regulations regarding Bank Security Act (BSA), Currency Transaction Reporting (CTR), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Customer Identification Program (CIP) and any other impacting front-line customer transactions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrates superior sales techniques to uncover customer needs and match to the bank's products and services; sells a full range of consumer and business products/services such as deposit accounts, loans, credit cards, and safe deposit boxes to meet or exceed established sales goals to support overall sales objectives.
- Demonstrate operational excellence by helping the branch to achieve satisfactory risk assessments and audits.
- Provides a variety of transactions for customers, including typical consumer transactions i.e., cashes checks and processes checking and savings account withdrawals and balancing duties, etc. while seeking opportunities to develop customer relationships and identify sales opportunities; utilizes basic sales techniques to deepen existing customer/prospect relationships.
- Consistently markets a full range of consumer and small business banking services to existing and potential customers through proactive techniques such as lobby leadership, outbound telemarketing calls, marketing campaigns, or in banking center events.
- Proficient in products and services offered by EverTrust Bank and able to utilize knowledge to identify other cross-sell opportunities and refer existing customers and prospects to Business Banking, Cash Management, Residential Mortgages and/or other E-Banking products.
- Participates in other marketing initiatives.
- Effectively uses available resources for problem resolution, which may involve analysis of information received from Loan Processing/Administration to Operations Administration to resolve issues pertaining to ATM, Card issuance, Reconcilement, Potential Fraud or other customer problems.
- Maintains compliance with Federal and State regulations as well as adhere to Bank's policies and procedures at all times. Meeting and/or exceed branch evaluation requirements.
- Provides flexibility of coverage at other branches as needed.
- Demonstrate leadership behaviors including but not limited to coaching other Universal Bankers.
- Provide support to Branch Manager and Customer Service Manager in the day-to-day operations and leadership of the branch operations; owning the customer and banker experience by helping to resolve issues; effectively handle escalated customer issues; proactively offering to help the team and customers; brainstorm on solutions.

REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High School Diploma or GED Required Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience: 3+ years of financial services or banking and/or supervisor experience or 1+ years of experience as a Universal Banker.
- Possesses strong sales, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
- Previous cash handling and customer contact experience is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (OUTLOOK, EXCEL, and WORD) is required.
- Strong knowledge of small business, mortgages, and lending service a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS
- Ability and desire to travel to multiple branch locations from designated home base as required.
- Typical office environment / working conditions. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- May require working in a standing position for continuous periods of time.

Pay: From $24.04 per hour
