Senior WordPress Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior WordPress Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in developing, customizing, and maintaining WordPress-based websites, plugins, and themes. You will play a key role in architecting scalable solutions, optimizing performance, and ensuring best practices in coding and security. This role requires both strong technical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with designers, content teams, and other developers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins.
• Build responsive and user-friendly websites optimized for performance and SEO.
• Customize and extend WordPress core functionalities to meet project requirements.
• Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and CRM/ERP solutions.
• Ensure websites follow best practices for security, scalability, and performance optimization.
• Debug and resolve technical issues, including cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement pixel-perfect designs.
• Manage WordPress updates, backups, and migrations.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to code reviews.
• Stay updated with the latest WordPress trends, tools, and technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of hands-on WordPress development experience.
• Strong expertise in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and jQuery.
• Proven experience with WordPress theme & plugin development from scratch.
• Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular) is a plus.
• Experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, and third-party integrations.
• Proficiency in version control systems (Git, GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket).
• Knowledge of website performance optimization (caching, CDN, lazy loading, etc.).
• Strong understanding of WordPress security best practices.
• Experience with WooCommerce, Elementor, WPML, and other popular WordPress tools is desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in an agency or software house environment.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of headless WordPress and JAMstack architectures.
• Exposure to cloud hosting platforms (AWS, DigitalOcean, GCP).

Timing 4:00 pm till 12:00 am.
